(Eagan, MN) — The Minnesota Vikings are rewarding one of their top defensive players with a contract extension.
The Purple signed edge rusher Andrew Van Ginkel to a one-year extension worth $23-million dollars. Van Ginkel signed with Minnesota prior to the 2024 season, and his new deal keeps him with the Vikings through 2026. The 29-year-old made his first Pro Bowl after tallying 79 tackles (50 solo, 29 assist), 11.5 sacks, and two pick-sixes.
Van Ginkel will look to help Minnesota improve on its 13-4 regular season record and Wild Card loss from the 2024 season.
