FARGO, N.D. – Following two confirmed cases of measles in Cass County, Fargo Cass Public Health will host a measles, mumps and rubella walk-in vaccine clinic.
It will be held Thursday, May 15 from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the main FCPH building at 1240 25th Street South. There are no need for appointments.
Those who plan to take part should bring insurance information. Fargo Cass Public Health says if you’re uninsured, the MMR vaccine is covered under the Vaccines for Children and the Vaccines for Adults programs meaning there is minimal cost to receive the vaccine.
Those who have symptoms consistent with measles or who have had a known exposure should contact their healthcare provider for guidance and recommendations.
North Dakota has 11 confirmed cases of measles and Minnesota has two. North Dakota’s confirmed cases are the state’s first since 2011. All cases were from people who are unvaccinated.
