(ST. PAUL, MINN) – The Minnesota Legislature spent much of Sunday in the state capitol.
Senators and Representatives met Sunday, with the House passing an omnibus judiciary and public safety bill, which would fund Minnesota’s courts and public safety agencies in the 2026-27 biennium. The total cost is $3.5 billion, which is more than $100 million over base.
The bill will need to be passed by the Minnesota Senate before going to Governor Tim Walz’s desk for his signature.
The Senate adjourned around 8 p.m. Sunday and will return in session today.
