Widespread rain heading our way!!

We picked up some much needed rain last week and we have another wet weather maker heading our way.   We are still about 1″ below normal in precip for the season BUT that is about to change this week.   A strong area of low pressure is cranking up in the central plains and will bring widespread severe weather to the central and southern plains today and tomorrow.

Thankfully we will miss out on the severe weather locally but we will get some widespread rainfall through Wednesday morning.   Here’s a look at what a few of our models are predicting:

As you can see, widespread 1″ amounts with some localized 2″ possible through Wednesday.   Things will dry out Thu/Fri but scattered showers for the Memorial Day weekend.  Not a total washout but hit and miss showers are likely.
