Wolves routed by Thunder in Game one of WCF

On Tuesday night the Minnesota Timberwolves fell to the Oklahoma City Thunder 114-88 in Game One of their Western Conference Finals series. Minnesota led 48-44 at the half before being outscored 70-40 in the second half.

Julius Randle paced the Pack with 28 points and eight rebounds, with 20 of those points coming in the first half. Anthony Edwards added 18 points and nine rebounds. Donte DiVincenzo and Jaylen Clark chipped in nine and eight points off the bench in the loss.

The Wolves shot 34.9 percent (29-83) from the field while struggling from downtown connecting on only 29.1 percent (15-51) of their three-point attempts. Minnesota also only made 71.4 percent (15-21) of their free throws. Oklahoma City shot better from every spot from the field hitting on 50 percent (41-82) overall, 52.4 percent (11-21) from three-point range, and 80.8 percent (21-26) from the free throw line.

The Thunder now lead the best-of-seven series 1-0. Game Two will be on Oklahoma City on Thursday evening with the opening tip-off slated for 7:30 p.m. and game coverage available nationally on ESPN.
