Fargo, N.D. – An old spot to cool off during the summertime in the Fargo-Moorhead area is returning this season with a brand new look.
The renovated Island Park Pool in Fargo is reopening on Monday, June 16.
The Fargo Park District is holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the public from 12pm to 4pm.
The pool was shut down in the spring of 2023 for construction.
Some of the new features range from a swimming competition pool with diving boards, along with a lazy river, water and tube slides.
It’s the first time the District has upgraded the pool since the late 1970’s.
Admission for the ribbon-cutting is $12 for adults and $10 for anyone 18 and under.
