Twins take Sunday series finale from Blue Jays

The Minnesota Twins avoided being swept at home with a 6-3 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday afternoon.

Joe Ryan tossed five innings with six strikeouts while giving up only two runs en route to earning his seventh win of the season. Brock Stewart, Cole Sands, Griffin Jax, and Jhoan Duran all tossed a scoreless inning in relief. Duran picked up his 10th save of the season.

Christian Vazquez led the offensive attack with a solo home run and two RBI. Brooks Lee drove in a run on a solo homer. Byron Buxton, Trevor Larnach, and Ty France all added an RBI in the win.

The Twins now have an off day on Monday before welcoming the Texas Rangers to Target Field for a midweek series beginning on Tuesday night.
