FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A Fargo man was arrested for trespassing after reportedly entering a house belonging to his ex-girlfriend’s family and falling asleep in her room.
Court documents say Fargo Police were called to the house in the 600 block of Ashwood Loop South in Fargo just before 4:00 A.M. on June 10 for a report of a burglary
The homeowner, who was in London at the time, called saying that someone was in her home. She also said that the person walked into her son’s bedroom, who was home at the time of the incident. She said she was unsure if his daughter was in the house.
While on scene, the officers talked to the son and got him out of the house and cleared the home.
While on the perimeter of the house, one of the officers saw a man, later identified as Taylor Hetle, asleep in the girl’s bedroom through a window. He didn’t wake up until officers cleared the majority of the house and woke him up with a sternum rub, according to court documents.
Once he was detained, Hetle had originally said that he was invited to the house by the daughter (his ex-girlfriend), but was unable to show any proof of that conversation or invitation. Officers were not able to contact the daughter to corroborate that information.
Court documents say Hetle later admitted during transport that he entered the house through the girl’s window and looked for her throughout the house, then waiting for her.
He was arrested for felony criminal trespass.
