Fargo, N.D. – Following several tense hours during a standoff with a suspect wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant, authorities in south Fargo were able to make an arrest.
Fargo police initially sent out an alert on social media just after 7:30pm telling the public to avoid the area of 12th Street South and 1st Avenue South.

Witnesses on the ground gave conflicting accounts to Flag Family News about what was happening concerning why 44-year old Landar Moore refused to come out of a residence at 105 12th Street South.
Before official information was received, some witnesses initially said Moore broke in to burglarize the home.
Police now say they received a call that Moore was spotted in the area around 6pm.
When authorities arrived, Moore dashed into an apartment unit in the building to barricade himself inside.
Moore had an active warrant out of Clay County for violating probation on previous burglary and forgery convictions.
Red River Valley SWAT was eventually called in to resolve the situation.

The team shouted out loudspeaker commands for Moore to come out through the home’s south door without a weapon, although an initial press release from the police department did not indicate if Moore indeed had one.
Flag Family News reached out to police for further comment and received a written statement from Red River Valley SWAT Commander Lieutenant Tom Shaw.
Shaw says it was “unknown whether he [Moore] was armed or had access to a weapon inside at the time.”
Shaw says his team made “loud, clear announcements identifying themselves as the police” and told Moore he was under arrest “instructing him to exit the building with his hands visible and free of any weapons.”
Multiple flash bangs were used in attempts to stun Moore, and a Rook vehicle was then used to tear down a side window before team members headed in.
Shaw called it a “methodically and safety-focused approach to ensure the situation was resolved without injury to anyone involved.”
A short time later, SWAT members were seen walking out with Moore, who was “located inside the structure and was not armed” before being placed into a law enforcement vehicle.

Along with the outstanding warrant, Moore is now facing charges of criminal trespass, preventing arrest and refusal to halt.
Moore was taken to the Cass County Jail.
