ST PAUL, MINN – New information is being released about the deaths of Minnesota House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark.
The pair were killed early Saturday morning by a gunman who also injured Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette. The Hoffmans are recovering from their injuries. The gunman has yet to be found as of Sunday night.
A report from the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office says Melissa died at the couple’s home in Brooklyn Park by homicide, with the cause of death listed as ‘multiple gunshot wounds.’ Her husband, Mark, died at the North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale by homicide, with the same cause of death as his wife.
The office says no further public information is available.
