On Wednesday night, the Minnesota Twins fell to the Cincinnati Reds 4-2 in a game that was called after six innings. The large amount of precipitation in the area caused the game’s opening pitch to be delayed and eventually for the game to be called early.
Bailey Ober struck out fix batters over 5 2/3 innings while giving up four runs. Ober was tagged with the loss. Byron Buxton hit a solo home run, his 13th of the season.
The Twins will wrap up their series with the Reds on Thursday beginning at 11:40 a.m. Minnesota will send Chris Paddack to the mound while Cincinnati counters with Nick Martinez.
Entering play on Thursday the Twins have a record of 36-37 and have lost six straight games.
