WEST FARGO, N.D. – A man is under arrest and facing drug charges after touching off a police chase in West Fargo Sunday night.
Officers tried to stop a vehicle near 45th Street and 7th Avenue South around 9:30. Police say the driver then drove off, and officers used a PIT maneuver near the 300 block of Main Avenue to stop it.
Thirty-four-year-old Levi Hansmeier, who doesn’t have a permanent address, was arrested on suspicion of fleeing, cocaine and fentanyl possession, giving false information, driving under suspension and several warrants.
Authorities say the vehicle Hansmeier was driving has been seized.
