Fire burns south Fargo building where suspect was holed up weeks prior

Fargo, N.D. – Crews on Monday in south Fargo extinguished a fire at a residential building, which is the same structure where authorities had to call in the Red River Valley SWAT Team weeks earlier to force a man holed up inside to come out.

Just before 8am, firefighters arrived at the location in the 1200 block of 1st Avenue South and saw smoke pouring out of the basement windows.

Valley News Live reports the fire rose to two alarms, which allowed for more resources to respond.

The fire was under control without any injuries, as the cause is under investigation.

Based on images from the scene, it’s the same residential structure where authorities spent hours trying to executive a high-risk search warrant back on June 14th.

That night, Red River Valley SWAT Team was eventually called in to assist in the 100 block of 12th Street South, which is a different address within the same building, and broke down a first-floor window before going inside.

44-year old Landar Moore was arrested on an active warrant out of Clay County for a probation violation.
