The Minnesota Timberwolves have officially signed their 2025 First Round pick, Joan Beringer. He was the 17th overall pick. Per the Timberwolves, the terms of the contract WERE NOT released, stating team policy as the reasoning for not disclosing the details.
The six-foot-11-inch big man averaged 5.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks over 18 minutes per game this past season with Cedevita Olimpija in Slovenia. He helped the team win the 2024-25 Slovenian Basketball Cup. Beringer was second in the league averaging 1.47 blocks per game.
Per realgm.com his rookie contract salary will be $3,500,900 for the upcoming 2025-26 season. His second year salary will increase to $3,676,000 with year three set to be $3,851,000.
Beringer will wear No. 19 for the Timberwolves in NBA 2K26 Summer League 2025. Their first game will be on Thursday, July 10 against the New Orleans Pelicans with tip-off at 2:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
