The Washington Nationals selected high school shortstop Eli Willits with the number one selection, their third in franchise history. The Rockies selected shortstop Ethan Holliday, son of franchise legend Matt Holliday at number four overall. Golden Spikes Award winner Wehiwa Aloy was selected by the Baltimore Orioles with the 31st overall pick.
