FARGO, ND – The Fargo City Commission will likely reconsider a request from Folkways to close part of Broadway.
“After subsequent research following the request from Folkways to reconsider piloting a closure for its July 24 TEDx After Party S’mores Eating Contest event, I am bringing forward a request for reconsideration,” Deputy Mayor and City Commissioner Denise Kolpack said in a memo to commissioners.
She says their request is to close Broadway between 2nd and 3rd Avenue North. She’s also asking to include a request for the city’s Street Closure Task Force to evaluate the current closure processes and consider adding criteria to the “legacy” designation.
The commission will meet Monday night at 5 p.m.
