Sen. Tina Smith released from the hospital

WASHINGTON, DC – Minnesota U.S. Senator Tina Smith is out of the hospital.

The Minnesota Senator was admitted to the hospital Wednesday after her staff say she began to not feel well. The Capitol physician saw her and recommended she go to GW Hospital, where she was admitted.

“In all seriousness, an immense, heartfelt thank you to everyone for the well wishes, and a special thanks to my incredible care team at George Washington University Hospital,” she wrote on X. “With a clean bill of health, I’m ready to get back to work fighting for Minnesotans.”

Smith has announced she will not run for reelection next year.
