Fischbach votes for resolution asking for release of Epstein information

WASHINGTON – Minnesota Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach touted the House Rules Committee passing a resolution calling for the Department of Justice to release “credible information in DOJ’s possession” regarding Jeffrey Epstein.

“Democrats had 4 years of Biden to release information on Epstein’s disgusting acts. POTUS and [the] House GOP remain committed to holding the government accountable,” Fischbach, who’s on the Rules Committee, put on social media.

“Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach is going to decide what is ‘relevant’ in the Epstein file. Who is she protecting?” the Minnesota 7th Congressional District DFL said on social media.

On Tuesday, Fischbach voted against Democrats’ motion in the House Rules Committee to require U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to preserve and release any records related to Jeffrey Epstein.

When asked for a statement from Fischbach on her vote Wednesday, her Press Secretary Lauren Weber pointed Flag Family News to a post Speaker of the House Mike Johnson made on X, which the congresswoman’s account reposted.

“Democrats resorted to an obscure procedural and political stunt to try and distract the American people from their own failures.” Johnson wrote Tuesday. “Reps. Foxx, Fischbach, Houchin, Langworthy, Scott, Griffith and Jack voted correctly on all amendments in committee so that our House can swiftly pay our brave soldiers and enact the most important cryptocurrency legislation in our country’s history.”
