FARGO, ND – Fargo-based sporting goods store SCHEELS is opening a new location in Minnesota.
On Friday morning, the company announced their newest store will be in Blaine, Minn., which is located north of Minneapolis.
“Minnesota has always been a proud part of the SCHEELS story, and we’re thrilled to make Blaine the next chapter – a thriving community that aligns perfectly with our values,” said Matt Hanson, SCHEELS CEO. “This new location will be built specifically with the Blaine and surrounding communities in mind, from local experiences to expert service. We’re excited to continue our partnership with the city and BTCE, to give back to Blaine’s dynamic community, and create a lasting impact for years to come.”
The store will be the company’s sixth store in the state of Minnesota. It’s set to open in spring 2028 and will be a 250,000-square foot store. It’ll include a Ferris wheel, saltwater aquarium, wildlife mountain, Ginna’s Café, candy shop and a total of 84 specialty shops.
