The Minnesota Twins defeated the Detroit Tigers 6-3 on Tuesday night.
Zebby Matthews struck out six batters over five innings while only giving up one run, earning the win. Michael Tonkin threw 1 ⅔ shutout innings with Kody Funderburk getting one out. Cole Sands gave up one run in an inning of relief and Justin Topa closed the door in the ninth inning with his first save of the season.
Luke Keaschall hit his first big league home run and drove in three runs in the game. Trevor Larnach added a solo home run while Ryan Jeffers and Kody Clemens each added an RBI.
