Police seek to create remote workstation at Scheels in south Fargo

Fargo, N.D. – The Fargo Police Department is requesting creation of a new remote workstation inside a Scheels location in south Fargo.

Chief David Zibolski wrote a letter to the City Commission asking the panel to approve the 24-7 station at the Scheels retail store at 1551 45th Street South.

The request was included in the consent agenda ahead of the Commission’s August 18th meeting.

All items placed on the consent agenda are typically approved in their entirety without debate, unless something is extracted and inserted on the general agenda.

In a letter to the commission, Zibolski says it’s “becoming increasingly critical” to provide such a space for officers in the field.

Zibolski noted that the FPD lost existing space at West Acres after a fire department remodel.
