FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – At around 2:13 am in Fargo, police was called to a reported burglary where someone texted 911 reporting that someone was trying to enter her apartment.
The woman described to officers that it could be her ex-boyfriend, but she did not have a peep hole in her door to confirm who was trying to enter. She informed police that the night before, her ex-boyfriend, Cole Simenson had sent her text messages and phone calls that she did not respond to.
While talking to the victim, an officer observed a man exiting the building and walking away. Two officers began to follow the man while one cleared the apartment building. The two officers were able to locate Simenson and according to court documents was acting nervous and as if he wasn’t involved.
Officers let Simenson know that he wouldn’t be able to leave until the investigation is over and he began to act agitated and tried to continuously walk away.
Officers placed him under arrest and Simenson began to resist. One officer obtained a minor injury to their left hand, and both knees, but were able to place Simenson under arrest. He was taken to a local hospital then to the jail for felony burglary and resisting arrest causing injury.
