Fargo, N.D. – U.S Customs and Border Patrol says an illegal immigrant was arrested by agents this week in Fargo and is accused of assaulting one of the federal officers during his detainment.
The Grand Forks Sector posted about the August 18th arrest on Facebook saying the man, who hails from Mexico, had an “active order of protection/restraining order.”
The man, whose name was not revealed in the post, has been referred to federal prosecutors to face charges.
“Remember, if you assault Immigration Officials; you will spend time in federal prison before you are deported,” read part of the post.
The post did not specify where exactly the arrest took place in Fargo.
