West Fargo Public Schools sees increased first day enrollment compared to 2024-25 first day numbers

WEST FARGO, ND – Officials with the West Fargo School District are reporting more learners were in class on the first day of school than were projected.

According to the district, 13,471 learners came through the school district’s doors last week, up from predictions that 13,407 learners would enroll in the district. Those predictions were done by demographer RSP & Associates.

The enrollment on the first day was more this year than in 2024-25.

The district says nearly 12,300 learners were enrolled in grades one through 12 on the first day, which includes the virtual program. Kindergarteners will be in school on Tuesday – so far nearly 1,000 of them – and the district will open its early childhood special education preschool in early September.
