FARGO – A man found guilty of assaulting three police officers will spend time in jail.
Joseph Manitowabi was sentenced Monday to two years in jail on the charges. He pled guilty to a total of six charges – three simple assault on a peace officer or correctional officer charges, an unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia charge, preventing arrest and refusal to halt.
Additionally, Manitowabi will receive 13 days credit for ‘good time’ and will have to submit to a chemical dependency evaluation and follow through with its recommendations.
He’ll also be required to serve three years of supervised probation.
