Walz, Armstrong issue statements on Charlie Kirk’s death

REGION – North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz are releasing statements after conservative radio host and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk died in a shooting in Utah.

“Kjersti and I continue to pray for Charlie Kirk and his family after this senseless and reprehensible act,” Armstrong said in a statement on X. “There is absolutely no place in America for political violence.”

Walz, on X, said ‘an open forum for political dialogue and disagreement was upended by a horrific act of targeted violence.”

“In America, we don’t settle our differences with violence or at gunpoint,” he wrote. “I’m praying for Charlie, his family, and his young children.”
