FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – RDO Equipment, a company headquartered in Fargo and with more than 80 locations in North Dakota, Minnesota and South Dakota, has reportedly laid off 36 people.
According to an email sent to employees from RDO President Chris Cooper, the company conducted a reduction in force of team members who support the business in field support roles.
“For more than a year, market and economic conditions have been very challenging, particularly in the ag sector,” Cooper wrote. “As our business has declined and the market remains soft, we need to adjust our staffing levels to align with both our current and future needs.”
RDO had a similar round of layoffs last month, cutting 2% of their employees in early August, affecting 17 people. The company owns John Deere, Vermeer, Topcon and Wirtgen Group dealerships.
