Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks fell to the Sioux Falls Canaries 11-2 in the decisive Game 5 of their AAPB West Division Championship Series on Saturday night. The RedHawks gave up all 11 runs over three innings.
Shane Barringer gave up five runs (four earned) over three innings and was tagged with the loss. Kolby Kiser surrendered two runs over ⅔ of an inning. Tyler Jeans tossed 1 ⅓ scoreless innings followed by a shutout inning from Alex DuBord. Parker Harm gave up one run over one inning. Kyle Johnston gave up three runs over only one inning of work.
Lamar Sparks and Jose Sermo each hit a solo home run in the game.
Sioux Falls won the best-of-five series 3-2. The Canaries will battle the Kane County Cougars in the best-of-five Myles Wolff Cup Championship Series beginning on Monday night at 6:30 p.m.
