FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Fargo police say security camera footage they obtained in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 3, shows a murder suspect entering District 64.
Caundre Douglas is facing multiple felony counts, including murder, after he was arrested in Jamestown on August 5.
Douglas has also been arrested in connection with a shooting in the 2700 block of 32nd Avenue South that sent Essentia Hospital into lockdown.
According to the Fargo Police, security camera footage shows Douglas entering District 64 in the early morning hours of August 3, without the bouncer checking his ID.
“They observed him going into District 64 around 12:24 am,” said Captain Troy Hannig, Fargo Police Department. “Detectives know that the suspect to be 20 years of age.“
During Fargo’s Liquor Control Board meeting on Wednesday, September 17, Hannig also added that during that early morning on August 3, five to eight other people went into the bar without having their IDs checked.
Officers have tried to go and issue citations to the owner of District 64 and the bouncer, but were not able to get in contact with them. According to police, the bouncer is no longer employed at District 64.
Police are pursuing charges through a long-form complaint.
