WASHINGTON – North Dakota Senator Kevin Cramer is weighing in over the suspension of late night talk shot host Jimmy Kimmel and the ongoing debate about possible limits on freedom of speech.
Kimmel’s program was pulled from the airwaves this week after the host made what critics say were controversial comments by suggesting the ‘MAGA gang’ was trying to characterize Charlie Kirk’s killer “as anything other than one of them.”
While supporters feel the move to pull Kimmel was justified, critics have argued the right to free speech is under serious attack.
“They [the mainstream media] deliver their nonsense and propaganda on taxpayer-owned property,” Cramer told The Flag on Friday.
Cramer also supported the position that the move to can Kimmel was made based on a free market business decision.

Cramer, who once requested a congressional hearing in 2016 concerning media bias related to coverage of President Trump’s first campaign, was asked if he and FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr were trying to prevent the media and an American from exercising their First Amendment rights.
“Absolutely not,” Cramer responded, adding he knows Carr but has never discussed the issue with him.
“Since I got to Congress and President Trump’s first election, I have been disgusted by the incredible left wing radical bias of the mainstream media,” said Cramer.
Carr himself has said Kimmel was “appearing to directly mislead the American public”.
