The Minnesota Lynx defeated the Phoenix Mercury 82-69 on Sunday. The Lynx tailed by seven at the half before outsourcing the Mercury by 20 points in the second half.
Courtney Williams led Minnesota with 23 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and five steals. Kayla McBride added 21 points and six rebounds. Napheesa Collier added 18 points and nine rebounds.
Minnesota leads the best-of-five series 1-0. Game 2 will be on Tuesday with tip-off scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on ESPN.
