Minnesota medical technology companies believe more tariffs are coming

MINNESOTA – Medical technology companies anticipate more tariffs.

The U.S. Commerce Department is investigating whether reliance on imported medical devices could threaten national security.

Companies with large operations in Minnesota say existing tariffs have cost them hundreds of millions of dollars.

President and CEO of Medical Alley Roberta Dressen says medical devices are critical to patient health and additional tariffs would curb innovation and hinder access, cost of care and delivery.
