Three people injured in vehicle vs. pedestrian crash in Dilworth

DILWORTH, Minn. (Valley News Live) – On Friday, September 26, at approximately 4:56 p.m. law enforcement was dispatched to the intersection of 2nd Avenue and Main Street North in Dilworth.

Upon officers arrival three pedestrians, two juvenile females and their mother were located at the scene with minor injuries from a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash.

The juvenile driver of the vehicle had a legal license and was located on scene very distraught. She told the responding officer that the sun was the reason she couldn’t see the three pedestrians in the road.

The driver denied being on her cellphone or being distracted and it was later deemed by the responding officer that all the statements provided by the driver were truthful.

The incident was caught on surveillance video and is currently under review to determine if any violations occurred.
