North Dakota reaches all-time high number of oil producing wells

BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources report the number of oil producing wells in the state were at an all-time high in July.

More than 19,500 were operational in July, 38 more than the month before.

Officials attribute this to a slight increase in oil and natural gas rigs actively producing materials with North Dakota’s total at 27 rigs.
