BISMARCK – Two public input sessions are scheduled in Bismarck regarding a potential rate increase for Xcel Energy customers.
The North Dakota Public Service Commission says the hearings are set for October 13 at noon and 6 p.m. The sessions will be held at:
- Public Service Commission hearing room at the North Dakota State Capitol in Bismarck;
- The Chamber Board Room in Grand Forks, located at 202 North 3rd Street, #100;
- The Dr. Jerry C. Olson Auditorium on the North Dakota State College of Science campus in Fargo, located at 1305 19th Avenue North; and
- The City Council chambers at Minot City Hall, located at 10 3rd Street SW.
In December 2024, Xcel Energy filed a notice for change in rates for electric services. The company proposes an increase of more than $44 million, or 19.3 percent. These rate increases would affect service to all retail electric customers in North Dakota.
