McCarthy set to return to practice

(Eagan, MN) — JJ McCarthy won’t have much time off during the Vikings bye week. Head coach Kevin O’Connell told reporters that McCarthy will spend much of the next two weeks getting extensive work on the practice field.

The second-year quarterback has missed Minnesota’s last three games due to an ankle sprain. Meanwhile, back-up quarterback Carson Wentz is dealing with a shoulder injury.

The Vikings return to action with a home game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, October 19th.
