No Senate vote on shutdown

(Washington, DC) — The Senate will not vote today to end the government shutdown on day seven.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune said tonight that the Senate will vote again tomorrow on the House-passed GOP spending bill and the Democratic legislation, likely in the “late morning.” Both bills have already failed five times on the Senate Floor.

Essential federal workers continue to show up but aren’t being paid, including one-point-three-million active duty troops now slated to miss their first paycheck on October 15th.
