NDSU’s Payton named MVFC Offensive Player of the Week

On Monday, October 13 the Missouri Valley Football Conference’s league office announced North Dakota State starting quarterback Cole Payton as the league’s Offensive Player of the Week. This is his second award over the past three weeks.

Payton totaled 291 yards of offense along with three touchdowns in NDSU’s 45-17 win over Top-10 Southern Illinois. He completed 13-of-16 passes for 241 yards and one touchdown while carrying the rock eight times for 48 yards and two scores.

The No. 1 ranked Bison will now visit Indiana State in a MVFC bout on Saturday, October 18 with kickoff scheduled for noon.
