The Minnesota Wild edged the Los Angeles Kings 4-3 in a shootout on Monday night. Minnesota scored three goals in the first period with LA scoring three times in the third period.
Jesper Wallstedt saved 31 of the 34 shots he faced in net. Matt Boldy, Kirill Kaprizov, and Jared Spurgeon all scored for the Wild. Marco Rossi scored the only goal of the four round shootout.
Minnesota is now 2-1-0 on the young season. The Wild will now visit the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night with puck drop set for 8:30 pm and game coverage available on ESPN.
