N.D. Game and Fish announces refunds amidst EHD outbreak

BISMARCK — Hunters can get refunds from the state Game and Fish Department after an EHD outbreak.

The disease began last month and caused about 20 white-tailed deer deaths. Hunters with eligible licenses can return tags for refunds and bonus points until November 7th. Officials say colder temperatures may slow the disease spread, which biting gnats transmit.

The Game and Fish Department monitors the outbreak and asks the public to report dead deer.
