First on Flag Family: Man wanted for allegedly spraying kid with ‘chemical irritant’ during disturbance at Fargo skate park

FARGO, N.D. – Police are looking for a person who allegedly sprayed a child with mace at a skate park this week in downtown Fargo.

Police Sergeant Brandon Kerr with the Neighborhood Services Division tells Flag Family News a call came in on Thursday October 16th at 6:23 p.m. about a disturbance at Dike West Park.

Once authorities were on scene, Kerr says officers learned that a “juvenile male had been sprayed with a chemical irritant.”

Flag Family News learned the victim was a teenage boy and the substance was mace, although it’s unclear what kind of disturbance took place and how it exactly started.

Kerr says the suspect left the scene before cops arrived, although the man was identified internally and police are “seeking to locate him.”

Authorities did not reveal the suspect’s name to Flag Family News, but Kerr says FPD ” will forward a report to the Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office for consideration of charges.”
