West Fargo Public Schools names Elizabeth Mackowick Interim Business Manager

WEST FARGO, N.D. – Elizabeth Mackowick has been named Interim Business Manager for West Fargo Public Schools.

This comes as Levi Bachmeier, who served as the district’s business manager since 2019, was named Interim North Dakota State Superintendent of Public Instruction on Tuesday, October 21.

“Liz brings a wealth of experience and a deep knowledge and understanding of our district to this position,” West Fargo Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Beth Slette said. “Her experience and expertise with our curriculum balanced with her understanding of educational finance will ensure continued excellence and accountability across West Fargo Public Schools.”

Mackowick has spent 13 of her 20 years in education as an administrator for West Fargo Public Schools. In 2012 she began her career as a Title I and Reading Coordinator managing the district’s literacy and Title I initiatives for grades PreK-5. She also managed staffing and financial resources for the program.

The district said it plans to end its search for a permanent business manager on June 30, 2026.
