Court documents reveal former Jamestown golf course manager stole nearly $100,000

JAMESTOWN – The former Jamestown Country Club manager is facing charges after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from the club.

According to court documents, Shawn Taft was the former manager from 2019 until 2024. It’s alleged that, between June 2020 and December 2024, he stole approximately $95,000 from the business.

The transactions were discovered in late January 2025.

Taft faces two counts – felony theft of property, a Class A Felony, and unauthorized use of personal identifying information, a Class B Felony. He could serve up to 30 years combined on the charges and/or $40,000 in fines.

No court appearances have been set, and, as of Monday morning, Taft has not been arrested.
