(Minneapolis, MN) — Derek Shelton is continuing to build his coaching staff.
The new Twins manager is retaining pitching coach Pete Maki. Maki joined the Twins staff in 2021 and took over as pitching coach in the middle of the 2022 season.
Meanwhile, third base coach Tommy Watkins is leaving the organization to join the Braves coaching staff. Watkins has been in the Twins organization as either a player or coach since 1998.
