WASHINGTON – AAA predicts nearly 82 million will travel at least 50 miles this Thanksgiving holiday season.
The holiday season forecast, which begins today and runs through next Monday, includes an additional 1.6 million domestic travelers this year compared to last Thanksgiving, a new record overall.
This year, more than 73 million are predicted to travel by car, with six million by air and two million by other means. The 73 million by car is higher than last year by nearly two million and nearly three million more than in 2019.
Florida is the most popular destination this year domestically, with France most popular for international travel.
