HARWOOD, ND – Two Harwood firefighters and a North Dakota Highway Patrol narrowly escaped serious injuries when a vehicle drove at a high rate of speed at a scene of an incident during Tuesday’s winter storm.
“Two of my firefighters and a North Dakota State Trooper were almost taken out by an irresponsible driver,” Harwood fire chief Marc Mosser wrote in a post on the fire department’s Facebook page. “Let that sink in, two of my firefighters almost did not make it home and NDHP almost lost a vehicle because of someone not driving for the conditions.”
Mosser’s message to the motoring public?
“SLOW DOWN AND PAY ATTENTION OR DON’T TRAVEL,” he wrote in the post.
