Crews remove part of South Fargo house’s ceiling to battle fire

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – At approximately 12:15 a.m., December 1, The Fargo Fire Department responded to 1738 15th St. S in Fargo.

The Fargo Fire Department says it was for a fire in the ceiling of a kitchen.

When crews got there, they found a small, smoldering fire near a ceiling light. It was put out quickly after they got there. No injuries were reported.

Due to parts of the ceiling needing to be removed, the tenant was displaced for the remainder of the night, according to officials.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage is said to be estimated at around $34,000.
