Mathern to run for reelection to N.D. State Senate

FARGO, ND – Fargo State Senator Tim Mathern is running for reelection.

The District 11 State Senator was first elected to the State Senate in 1986. In addition, he’s ran as the Democratic-NPL candidate for governor in 2008 and state treasurer in 2016.

Mathern, 75, said the state needs experienced leadership as it navigates infrastructure, workforce and legislative transitions.

“Fargo deserves leadership focused on results, not noise,” Mathern said. “I’ve worked across the aisle for years to deliver for Fargo and families, and with so many new legislators coming in, experience matters more than ever.”

He said the top issues in the next session include health care costs, property taxes and homelessness solutions.
