WASHINGTON, DC – An investigation into allegations that Minnesota tax dollars may have been diverted to the terrorist organization Al-Shabaab is underway at the federal level.
U.S. Department of Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent confirmed the investigation on his official X account Monday afternoon.
“Thanks to the leadership of President Donald Trump, we are acting fast to ensure Americans’ taxes are not funding acts of global terror,” he wrote on X. “We will share our findings as our investigation continues.”
