WAHPETON, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A 59-year-old man was hospitalized Saturday afternoon after being thrown from a snowmobile south of Wahpeton.
Richland County Communications received a 911 call at approximately 12:38 p.m., reporting a single-occupant snowmobile accident between mile markers 21 and 22 on Highway 127.
Authorities say the man hit a hard spot in the snow while riding in the ditch and was thrown from the vehicle.
The man was transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Office, Wahpeton Police Department and Breckenridge Ambulance responded to the scene.
The accident remains under investigation by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office.
